So, I've been following My Milk Toof for a few years now. I've always loved it, and admired Inhae Lee's attention to detail and great sense of humour. It has been awesome to watch her work grow and to see her success. This video gives a little bit of insight into just HOW much work goes into each shot! Do watch it! It's intriguing!

Well, Happy New Year everyone! I've been on holiday from ReallyReally Design goings-on, so I'm just slowly starting to get back into everything!

My partner and I are currently trying to renovate his whole house. It's a massive feat, as many of you will know. I'm now in the stage of trying to funkify a few places, like the laundry especially. Have you ever noticed how the laundry always ends up being the most unloved, boring room in the house? Why is that? If you're like me, you actually spend a good amount of time in there, so why can't the room be bright and cheery and awesome? Good question huh! Well I have a few cool ideas for ours, including using beer crates and preserving jars. Sounds interesting right?! I'll share some photos when it's completed.

Next, I wanted to find some really cool coat hooks/hangers. I'm sick of boring - I wanted unique! Etsy was a great place to start. Just look at some of these ideas...

As you may have noticed, I adore upcycled creations. The idea of re-using something to give it a second life REALLY sits well with me. It makes sense, and I wish everyone would get into it!

Madame Fancy Pants!

I recently got invited to the re-opening of Madame Fancy Pants, on Cuba Street here in Wellington. MFP closed up shop for a little while to do a few renovations and it was absolutely fantastic to see the end result! Have a look at some of the photos by Jenn Hadley Photography. Goodie bags, macarons, and gorgeous wine whilst surrounded by pretty summer dresses and stunning accessories. Bliss!

I've always adored Madame Fancy Pants and I think I always will! There's something special about that place. I adore it. Make sure you check it out! And for those of you not in Wellington, there is an online store! Woot woot!

...wonderful finds, and this is certainly one of those! Gertrude Snyder Vintage Treasures in Martinborough (Wairarapa) was an extremely pleasant surprise. Now, we here at ReallyReally are highly experienced 2nd hand/vintage/op shop explorers... Gertrude Snyder is by far the best I've experienced so far. An old house filled to the brim with old and interesting things - it really is heaven! I love that the rooms are actually themed too, so the kitchen is filled with kitchen treasures etc.

Just stunning. I truly hope you all get a chance to explore this amazing place. I know we'll be going back again and again, especially for vintage goodies to add to our jewellery creations.

Like the rest of New Zealand, we here at ReallyReally Design are absolutely devastated by the recent happenings at Pike River Mine in Greymouth. Our thoughts are with the families of the miners, and also with the whole community. It's times like this, one feels so helpless, but we think it's important to realise in these situations just how trivial our problems sometimes are. Appreciate the people around you and tell them you love them! Make the most of today.

We will be lighting a candle every night at 9pm and spending time sending thoughts of love and support to the people affected. Will you join in too?

Hi there everyone!

Well, it's that time of year! Christmas! Can't believe it's here already.

Firstly, I just wanted to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS and say a HUGE thank you for all your support over the year! Here's to a FABULOUS 2010!!!

Secondly, you won't find any Trade Me auctions from me again till around the 6th of January, as I'm having a break! Phew! So officially, from the 23rd December through to the 5th of January I will be having a holiday from the jewellery business. That doesn't mean you can't contact me however! :)

Looking forward to seeing what great things are going to happen in the New Year!

Here at ReallyReally, we're a shy bunch. We're not out for high praise, or fame of mammoth proportions. We're not into the whole "ooh see me in this mag" and "ooh this celeb is wearing my piece" - we're more about making jewellery for the REAL person. We're simple everyday people, and we want simple everyday people to enjoy our jewellery - thus the great prices! Just 'cos you're an everyday person, doesn't mean you can't look or feel fabulous! Au contraire! It just means that you're living the best life you can, you care about others, and every now and then you treat yourself to something just a little bit special or different - like a piece of ReallyReally. :)

In saying all this, we LOVE fashion and can't get enough of it! It's just fun to follow what's happening in the fashion world. ReallyReally fully supports individual fashion however, and wish that everyone could find their own personal fashion niche. Wouldn't that be awesome!!! No more cookie-cutter, mass produced cloning. ;)
